The company has been formed!

Seven companies within the fields of environmental technology, manufacturing and recycling in the municipality of Boden in northern Sweden have joined forces to form the new company Future Eco North Sweden AB. The new company focuses on innovation, sustainability and collaboration.

Future Eco will focus on the processing of residual and waste products and the development of manufacturing processes for the businesses that own the company, in collaboration with other regional, national and international stakeholders. The company has its head office in Boden in northern Sweden.

Ragn-Sells, BDX, Svalget Återvinning AB, Swebo Bioenergy AB, Harads
Arctic Heat AB and AB Berglunds Rostfria are all strong and growing companies that operate in Boden’s future-oriented industries. Together with Boden Municipality they have now joined forces to form Future Eco, which will act as a coordinator and joint development organisation. Future Eco’s long-term goals are to eliminate landfill, minimise incineration and develop new products.

The group of companies that owns Future Eco each possess an extensive range of expertise, a gigantic contact network and a multitude of development ideas. The Board of Future Eco consists of highly respected names like Börje Jonsson, former Regional Director for Sweco and now Chairman of Future Eco’s Board, Håkan Nilsson, Development Director at BDX, Anders Kihl, Development Director at Ragn-Sells, Bernt Granberg of Berglunds Rostfria, Sture Nordmark of Svalget Återvinning AB, Per-Anders Eriksson of Arctic Heat, Nils Öhman of Swebo Bioenergy and Olle Lindström and Councillor Torbjörn Lidberg. The two last-named gentlemen will together represent Boden Municipality on the Board.

Alf Andefors was employed as the company’s CEO on 1 September 2012. Alf has a background in management, technology and finance, having first been employed as a manager with NJA/SSAB. He has been self-employed since the middle of the 1980s and has held a number of positions as leader, strategist and business developer within trade and industry.

With Börje Jonsson as Chairman of the Board and Alf Andefors as CEO, the ambition is to drive the level of development forward within all the companies that jointly own Future Eco. A number of concrete development ideas are already underway and discussions are taking place with customers locally, throughout Sweden and internationally.
