Landfill gas extraction from old landfill
The aim of the project is to install equipment that forms the basis for handling landfill gas and to measure the amount of landfill gas that can be used from an older, closed landfill. During the project period, measuring equipment will provide answers to how much energy can be recovered and the potential reduction of greenhouse gases that can be achieved.
BioKolMet - Optimization of a New BIOCHAR Process for the Metallurgical Industry
The BIOKOLMET project (Optimization of a New BIOCHAR Process for the Metallurgical Industry) aims to improve the energy efficiency of the biochar production process developed by Harads Arctic Heat. The demand for biochar within the Swedish metallurgical industry has been documented in several roadmaps developed under the framework of the initiative Fossil Free Sweden.
Hydrogen Reduction and Arc Melting of Nordic Iron Ores for Sustainable Steelmaking - H2NordSteel
H2NordSteelH2NordSteels objective is to solve the technical challenges related to sustainable hydrogen reduction of Nordic iron ores and optimized melting practices with tangible results for local use. With the partners and associated partners competences, H2NordSteel covers the process chain starting from mining, followed by sustainable low-temperature hydrogen reduction and biochar integration, and all the way to electric steelmaking and material characterization.
